NEWS FROM THE DESK OF MR. BENNETT

Glass Blowing at Glass Axis

ArT CaVe NeWs RoOm

Hello to all the art cave fans and students of 2011 and the past.  It has been a wonderful start to another great year.  Our students have been doing a great job with art work and studio projects.  We are now embarking on giving back to our community as we paint the windows of the Youth Art building.  Students artwork may be viewed during the Pumpkin Show at this building. Please stop by and support our students and their work.

Please remember (if you are reading the news) that all money for our fundraiser is due this Friday (October 7th).  I am looking into an event(s) for those students interested.  Some of the things I would like to do are visit the Columbus Museum of art, the Wexner Center for the Arts, go to GlassAxis to learn how to work with glass, and get together with the Art Club from Chillicothe high school.  If you have any event or events you would like to suggest please feel free to leave a comment for me.  Until next time "happy painting" or "drawing".

Art Club going to New York City

The art club is traveling to New York city this June 8-12.  We need students, parents, and teachers to sign up to go on the trip.  It is very important to see Mr. Bennett or email him about details for the trip.  It will be a fun filled trip with many memories.  The cost at this point is $729 and covers meals, travel, tour tickets to events, special events, and security.  I hope that we get our magic number this year so we can travel to New York.  More information coming soon!
